About

My name is Gene Mills, and I own Foxy Entertainment. I’m pretty much a sole proprietorship, I run just about everything myself. I do know a few other DJs in town, and if I’m booked, I will usually refer them.

I first started holding a weekly Trivia Night at Fibber’s Pub and Eatery in 2004 which ran for 4 years. I then moved onto radio in 2008 and was on 94.1 East Coast FM as co-host of the WakeUp Show, evenings from 6pm till midnight and 7pm till midnight on the Saturday Night House Party!

I specialize in Weddings, School Dances and Events, Birthday and Private Parties, Corporate Events, and MC duties.

I’m a proud member of the Canadian Professional Disc Jockey AssociationConnect Music Licensing (previously AVLA), and am licensed and insured.

My past clients are obviously my greatest asset and I feel that my qualifications speak for themselves. I believe people are pretty smart to begin with, and it is not my place to tell ANY Bride or event organizer who they should hire. Now, that is not to say there aren’t “bad” DJs out there, because there are. But in life, there are “good” and “bad” services EVERYWHERE. Some DJs seem to forget that, and think that the general public can’t make a decision on their own.

The best example I can use is the iPod. Whether you own an iPod or not, I guarantee you the reason people buy iPods is because they are simply the best product on the market. How did we all know that? Is it because Apple, the maker of the iPod, said all the other MP3 players for sale were no good? No way. They simply give you the best technology available, and naturally, people gravitate to the best. This is how I strive to run my business.
